A Bengaluru FIR was filed against a lawyer who attempted to throw a sneaker at CJI BR Gavai.

 
Following a complaint by another attorney, Bhaktavachala, who requested case registration in order to "protect the image of judiciary," the zero FIR was filed at the Vidhan Soudha police station.
 

Bengaluru Police have filed a first information report (FIR) against Rakesh Kishore, an advocate from Delhi, for attempting to throw his shoe at Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai on October 6. 


Following a complaint by another attorney, Bhaktavachala, who requested case registration in order to "protect the image of judiciary," the zero FIR was filed at the Vidhan Soudha police station. 
 

No matter where the incident or offense occurred, a zero FIR can be filed at any police station. 

Kishore has been charged with violations of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Sections 132 and 133. 

Assault or the use of unlawful force to prevent a public official from doing his duties is prohibited by Section 132. 

Assaut, or using unlawful force to degrade another individual, is prohibited by Section 133. 

"At the Supreme Court of India's Court Hall No. 1, a lawyer named Rakesh Kishore committed an offense on October 6 by hurling a shoe at the dias. Court Hall No. 1 of the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi was where the Honorable Chief Justice of India, BR Gavai, and Honorable Justice K Vinod Chandran were seated. According to the FIR, the complainant wants to file a case against the accused in order to preserve the judiciary's reputation

The Delhi police station in question, whose jurisdiction the offense was committed, will now receive the FIR. 

Despite the Supreme Court's rejection to pursue any complaint, the FIR was filed. 

On the morning of October 6, as the bench presided over by Chief Justice Gavai was considering attorneys' petitions for urgent listings, the incident in question took place. 
 


Kishore allegedly shouted, "Sanatan dharma ka apmaan nahi sahega Hindustan," as he approached the dais, removed his shoe, and attempted to throw it at the Chief Justice. 
 


Security guards quickly detained him and led him out of the courtroom. 

CJI Gavai instructed all in attendance to maintain concentrate as the proceedings proceeded in spite of the disturbance. The Chief Justice said he was not unnerved by such instances. 

Following the incident, Kishore was reportedly taken into custody by the Delhi Police and interrogated for more than three hours at the Tilak Marg police station. 

Officers claim to have found a white paper note in his hands that read, "Mera sandesh har Sanatani ke liye hai. Sahega Hindustan nahi saatan dharma ka apmaan. 

Additionally, Kishore was discovered in possession of identity cards from the Delhi Bar Council, Shahdara Bar Association, and Supreme Court Bar Association. 

After being questioned, the police said Kishore was freed when the Registrar General of the Supreme Court officially communicated that the Court would not be filing charges. Additionally, the Registrar ordered the police to return Kishore's paperwork and shoes. ~ 

However, the lawyer's bar license was suspended by the Bar Council of India shortly after the incident was widely condemned. 
 


Later, Kishore made an appearance in the media and defended his behavior.
