Anantkumar Hegde of the BJP is granted bail by the Karnataka High Court in a road rage case.

Hegde and six other people were arrested for attacking a guy who was passing their SUV.

In a first information report (FIR) filed against former BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde in relation to a road rage crime that happened on June 23, the Karnataka High Court on Thursday delayed coercive action against him.

Hegde was granted relief by an interim order issued by Justice SR Krishnakumar, a single-judge.

The accusation claims that Hegde's aides beat a man who was traveling with his family after the guy's automobile repeatedly passed Hegde's on the highway.

Khan, the complainant, stated that Hegde was attacked by Hegde's driver and shooter close to Hale Nijagal hamlet in Nelamangala Taluk, which is roughly 60 kilometers from Bengaluru.

According to reports, the altercation happened after Khan's Toyota Innova repeatedly passed the former MP's Mahindra XUV on the way. Hegde's driver and the gunman allegedly exited the vehicle and attacked Khan once the cars came to a stop. Khan further claimed that Hegde was at the site and started the assault.

Khan later reported the incident to the police, claiming that even though he was traveling with his family, he had been abused. He mentioned Hegde as one of the suspects and said that the attack caused him to lose two or three teeth.

All seven of the accused were booked by the police under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including those that deal with assaulting a woman with the intention of upsetting her modesty, causing serious harm, wrongful restraint, and criminal intimidation. The Nelamangala Police Station is where the FIR has been filed.
