DAU EDP on Sustainability, Carbon Markets, and ESG
In order to prepare professionals for leadership in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the global economy, the School of Law at Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) has launched its Executive Development Program (EDP) on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Carbon Markets, and Sustainability.
The program, which runs from September 20 to December 14, 2025, combines academic rigor with practical insights in a certified, immersive learning environment. It brings together thought leadership from Axis Max Life Insurance, Varaha, and Dhir & Dhir Associates.
Why This Program?
The carbon markets in India are about to undergo a radical shift. The government has set the groundwork for what may grow to be the largest regulated carbon market globally by 2030 by establishing a national Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) under the Energy Conservation (Amendment) Act, 2022.
A new generation of professionals who are knowledgeable with ESG frameworks, legally sound sustainability practices, and carbon market instruments is required by the rise in climate-focused regulation and finance.
Credible, cross-sector ESG education is more important than ever as demands for verifiable climate action and strong digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems increase.
Live expert lectures are given by professionals in the field and legal specialists from affiliated universities.
Axis Max Life Insurance, Varaha, Dhir & Dhir Associates, and Dhirubhai Ambani University School of Law jointly provided the certification.
Post-program mentoring: Ongoing assistance in applying knowledge to difficulties and professions in the real world
Alumni status: Continuous involvement and lifetime access to a select professional network
Professionals at the middle and upper levels of the legal, financial, energy, and sustainability fields
Officers in charge of legal, compliance, and ESG looking for formal training
Consultants and entrepreneurs joining the carbon and sustainability field
This recently started project is a sensible and timely reaction to the market, environmental, and legal changes in India. With a curriculum based on policy, technology, law, and finance, it seeks to provide India's future ESG leaders the skills they need to lead successfully and ethically.
