If you would want FIR information, please provide the CJI Gavai video details: Punjab & Haryana High Court to Ajeet Bharti CJI Gavai's

comments in a case involving the restoration of a beheaded seven-foot idol of Lord Vishnu in Khajuraho have drawn harsh criticism from people and organizations on the right, both online and offline.

In order to determine whether any First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed against YouTuber Ajeet Bharti, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked him to provide the Mohali Police with information about his videos about Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai .

Last month, Bharti petitioned the High Court for protection from any coercive actions taken by the Punjab Police. The State was questioned by the High Court on October 27 on whether a formal complaint had been filed against him.

The State informed the Court on November 3 that the police had discovered multiple tapes that used insulting and abusive language against CJI Gavai. In response to Bharti's request, the State stated that it was not possible to identify the individual who had been charged in the filed FIRs.

However, it was also suggested that Bharti's plea be granted with the option to email the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, the specifics of the video that was posted on social media in order to obtain information about the FIR.

Justice Subhas Mehla stated in his ruling that although the State had taken notice of the recordings, it was currently impossible to determine whether Bharti had been charged or not because the inquiry was still underway. The judge then dismissed Bharti's request, ordering him to provide details of his video if he wished to learn more about the FIR.

"The present petition is disposed of with the direction that if the petitioner/accused wants to know the details of FIR then he is at liberty to furnish details of the video uploaded by him on social media to the Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar and get the details regarding the FIR against him," the court ruled.

CJI Gavai's comments in a case involving the restoration of a headless seven-foot idol of Lord Vishnu in Khajuraho have drawn harsh criticism from people and organizations on the right, both online and off. During court proceedings, one counsel, Rakesh Kishore, even made an attempt to hurl a sneaker at him.

According to reports, Punjab Police have filed several First Information Reports (FIRs) over social media posts directed at the CJI.

Bharti and others have reportedly been charged for making "provocative" and "casteist" comments about CJI Gavai in the videos that were posted both before and after the shoe-throwing incident, according to media reports.

The right-wing pundit claimed in his court appeal that he learned that criminal proceedings under the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and Scheduled Castes may have been filed against him through media reports. However, he claimed that he was unable to pursue standard remedies because he was ignorant of the specifics of these situations.

Bharti asserted that he had expressed a "journalist opinion" regarding his remarks. Additionally, he stated that he had "highest reverence" for the courts.

Bharti was represented by attorneys Ashish Dixit and Shivam Tiwari.

Jastej Singh, an additional advocate general, represented the State of Punjab.
