An important turning point in ADR ODR International's growth in India is reached when Pavani Sibal is appointed Head of AOI India.
With more than 20 years of international experience as General Counsel and senior in-house counsel in the infrastructure, energy, renewables, environment, and education sectors, Sibal is a dual-qualified attorney from England and Wales and India.
Before leading legal departments for significant multinational corporations and offering advice on cross-border transactions and governance in the US, UK, Europe, India, and Asia-Pacific, she started her career with GE Infrastructure-Water & Process Technologies.
Sibal, an international relations graduate of the Fletcher School, has represented international concerns of law, diplomacy, and conflict resolution at the World Bank, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum. She became a Digital Dispute Resolution Specialist (DDRS) with ADR ODR International in 2025, and she is currently on the executive boards of Goddess Gaia Ventures and Presolv360, the biggest online dispute resolution platform in India.
Rahim Shamji, the founder and CEO of ADR ODR International, commented on the appointment,
"I am thrilled that Pavani has agreed to lead AOI India; this appointment is a significant step forward for the organization's expansion and advancement. Pavani offers a very high level of professionalism, diligence, and consideration to the position. She has a special talent for bridging the gap between the legal and human-centered dispute resolution fields. Under her direction, ADR ODR International will help advance ADR and ODR both domestically and internationally, providing India's dispute resolution community with enormous opportunities and success.
Regarding her new position, Sibal revealed,
"I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed Head of ADRODR in India, a position that presents a special chance to support the global conflict resolution objective. Making sure that the voice of humanity is not reduced to merely legal debates or judicial battles is more crucial than ever in a society that is becoming more and more marked by conflict and complexity. Rather, the emphasis should be on encouraging fruitful dialogue and mediation, which are crucial instruments for resolving disputes and establishing lasting peace.
As international experts in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Digital Dispute Resolution Specialist (DDRS), we agree that communication and understanding between people are more important for fostering peace than merely following court decisions. I'm excited to collaborate with my peers to advance these ideas in the Indian context while also bolstering the ADR community globally. The journey ahead is both exciting and critical as we seek to shape a more harmonious, cooperative world.”
