The sitting list for the Kolhapur Circuit Bench of the Bombay High Court is released.

On August 17 at 3:30 PM, Chief Justice of India BR Gavai will officially open the bench.

The sitting list for the newly established circuit bench in Kolhapur was made public by the Bombay High Court on Thursday.  The notification states that the circuit bench will start sitting on August 18 and will consist of two single-judge benches and one division bench.

Alongside Justice Sharmila Deshmukh, the division bench would be presided over by Justice M S Karnik, who is presently assigned to the principal seat in Mumbai.

Justice Shivkumar Dige and Justice S G Chapalgaonkar will preside over the single benches.

In addition to all other civil and criminal cases falling under the jurisdiction of a division bench from the districts of Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, the division bench is anticipated to hear cases involving Public Interest Litigation, civil writ petitions, first appeals, family court appeals, and contempt appeals.

Criminal appeals, criminal revision applications, bail applications, and other criminal cases falling within a single judge's jurisdiction will all be heard by Justice Dige's single bench.

A single bench will be presided over by Justice Chapalgaonkar, who will hear civil writ petitions, civil applications, and other civil issues that are assigned to a single judge.

On August 17 at 3:30 PM, Chief Justice of India BR Gavai will officially open the bench.
