The state is ordered by the Patna High Court to take action against child trafficking in dance and symphony organizations.

The Court was considering a PIL that claimed the State had not done enough to stop these abuses.

The Bihar government was recently ordered by the Patna High Court to take immediate action to combat the trafficking of children in theater, dance, and symphonic groups.

The order was issued by a bench consisting of Justice Partha Sarthy and Acting Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar.

The State government's answer to a public interest litigation (PIL) petition that brought attention to child trafficking and exploitation under the pretense of working in performing groups was also requested by the Court.

The next hearing on the case is scheduled for July 25.

The Just Rights For Children Alliance, an NGO, filed the PIL to ask the state government to create a state-wide action plan and a comprehensive, multi-stakeholder strategy for registering, regulating, and overseeing these performance groups.

Speaking on behalf of the NGO, Senior Advocate Sanjay Singh contended that these unregulated practices defeat the purpose of child protection laws.

The Court sent notice to the government after reviewing the matter.

Advocate Vikash Kumar and Advocate General PK Shahi represented the respondents.
