Applications are being accepted for the Catalyst for Change Fellowship by the Migration and Asylum Project (MAP).

A variety of potential academic and professional options can be accessed through the CFC Fellowship.
Two to three Fellows are needed to join the Migration and Asylum Project's (MAP) Catalyst for Change Fellowship (2025–2026).
Along with other advantages, the monthly stipend is ₹60,000 (subject to relevant TDS).
Date of Start: January 1, 2025
What is offered by the program?
The Fellows will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in the fields of migration, women's rights, and refugee protection for 24 months while gaining academic, legal, and field experience. They will also be a part of a movement to create a legal protection landscape that is inclusive and responsive by focusing on the rule of law.
For a highly motivated individual, the role will be a unique chance to understand programs in depth, engage with local and international experts, raise awareness of issues related to forced migration and displacement, and—most importantly—interact with the migrant and refugee communities in South Asia.
The Fellows can be assigned to any of MAP's three main programs: direct aid to UNHCR-registered refugees, legal empowerment for migrant workers, and support for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
The Fellows will have the unique opportunity to actively influence their clients' lives by applying fundamental concepts of international law and human rights. Throughout the program, the Fellows will get training on how to use the law to successfully defend the rights of displaced people, participate in continuing advocacy, legal action, and policymaking, and do groundbreaking research in the area. Additionally, fellows will have the chance to interact with MAP's main collaborators and partners, which include state institutions, civil society organizations, and UN agencies.
A variety of potential academic and professional options can be accessed through the CFC Fellowship. Alumni of MAP have gone on to seek PhDs, graduate degrees, other renowned academic fellowships, and jobs in the development sector, including inside the UN system.
