On April 17, while hearing a case, Karnataka High Court Justice Krishna Dixit discussed his rumored transfer.
He made the lighthearted comment that the parties might have a good bench next week when a lawyer who was appearing before him asked for a date in a matter. He was implying that the case might be put before another bench shortly because of his upcoming move from the High Court.
In any case, you might have a nice bench next week as well. He grinned and continued, "You are now eliminating all bad people."
He added that it is his responsibility and that he is prepared to work anyplace.
It is a soldier's responsibility to report to his assigned location. All he needs to do is go there contentedly and work. There will be specialties for us if we visit. Are they going to take us to the Himalayas? I will also travel to the Himalayas if a High Court bench is established there. No issue.

When arguing on behalf of the defendants, Senior Advocate PS Rajagopal stated,
"I ask that the judge refrain from using that word. Don't acquire this impression, please. Outside, I was stating that we shall die if we don't learn to protest. That does not imply that every protest we launch will be effective.
Sitting on a Division Bench beside Justice Ramachandra D. Huddar, Justice Dixit chuckled and stated,
We're not going to subscribe to it. All of this is covered by the policy. This also applies to us when we suggest that we should be dedicated to the transfer.
In response, Rajagopal stated,
"I'm allowed to voice my opinions. It simply implies that we ought to be able to communicate how we feel.
Additionally, Advocate General K Shashikaran Shetty, who was in attendance, gave his endorsement.
Rajagopal went on,
Ten days ago, you yourself informed me that constitutional positions are exempt from the service law. We recognize your stance. But there's something the bar needs to do. I have no right to voice my thoughts on this platform. But I ask that you pardon me for being so forthright.
There have been rumors that four of the Karnataka High Court's justices would be transferred to other High Courts, despite the Supreme Court Collegium having not yet issued a declaration on the matter.
In a recent letter to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, the President of the Advocates Association (R) of the Karnataka High Court's Dharwad Bench expressed opposition to the reported action.
There is a plan to move Justices Krishna Dixit, K Natarajan, Hemant Chandangoudar, and Sanjay Gouda to different High Courts, according to Bar President VM Sheelavant.
"The members of the Bar across the State of Karnataka are in a State of disbelief on hearing the rumours about the intended or proposed transfer of few of the best legal minds serving as Hon'ble Judges of the High Court of Karnataka," Sheelavant wrote in the letter to the CJI.
