Karan Johar receives advice from AZB & Partners on the purchase of a minority stake in the Mumbai Art Fair.

The Mumbai Art Fair is a company that organizes and runs Indian art exhibitions and commerce shows.

AZB & Partners acted for Karan Johar of Dharma Productions on an acquisition of a minority stake in Mumbai Art Fair Private Limited.

The AZB team working on this transaction consisted of Nandish Vyas (Senior Partner), Farah Titina (Senior Associate) and Rishad Mehta (Associate).

This action follows his previous involvement with the fair (also known as Art Mumbai) as a "cultural ambassador," when he participated in conversations and organized activities with the goal of bridging the gap between the art world and Bollywood. Johar had also participated actively in the fair before this investment, even purchasing artwork.

One of the most important art events in India's financial and cultural center is the Mumbai Art Fair, also called Art Mumbai. Its goal from the beginning has been to give galleries and artists a place to display their work while encouraging interaction between the general public and the art world. Paintings, sculptures, installations, and other works of modern and contemporary art from South Asia and beyond are all on display during the event.
