Request for Papers | NLIU-CPS Journal for Parliamentary Research and Legislative Drafting: Send it by December 10
The NLIU-CPS Journal for Legislative Drafting and Parliamentary Research (JLDPR), the organization's annual journal, is glad to accept original and unpublished submissions for publication. The goal of this year's issue of the journal is to foster international cooperation amongst professionals, research academics, and students interested in international law.
Concerning NLIU
Located in Bhopal, India, the National Law Institute University is a renowned law school and research hub. One of the first three law schools to be founded under the National Law University system, it was founded in 1997 by the State of Madhya Pradesh. Since its founding, NLIU has established a solid reputation as a leading university that offers top-notch legal education and conducts research in innovative legal fields. The university has established a reputation for academic excellence and student placement success over the course of its existence. As one of the most prestigious legal schools in India today, NLIU is frequently named among the top law schools in the nation.
Concerning the Center for Parliamentary Studies
The Center was founded to support advanced education in the fields of legislative drafting, public policy research, and constitutional law. CPS aims to participate in scholarly discussions and research initiatives concerning current public policy concerns. By helping the participants familiarize themselves with significant facets of the field, the Center also hopes to play a key role in the overall growth of the Indian legal system.
Concerning the NLIU-CPS Journal for Parliamentary Research and Legislative Drafting (JLDPR)
Every year, CPS publishes the double-blind, peer-reviewed Journal. It seeks to spark interest in the fields of administrative law, public policy research, and constitutional law. The Journal encourages scholarly debates on topics pertaining to administrative law, public policy, parliamentary studies, and constitutional law.
Justice Sanjay Karol, a Supreme Court of India judge, wrote the foreword for our first edition. Justice A.P. Sahi, the Director of the National Judicial Academy, released the first edition of the Journal to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the founding NLIU. In the second edition, Padma Shri Dr. T.K. Viswanathan wrote the Commencement Note.
Theme
Students, scholars, and professionals are encouraged to submit original, up-to-date, analytical, and unpublished publications on constitutional law, legislative drafting, parliamentary research, and public policy to JLDPR. High standards of academic knowledge must be displayed, and the entries must be of current relevance.
Submission Types and Conditions
- The following format can be used to submit the manuscripts (the word limit listed below does not include footnotes):
Legislative briefs: 1500–3000 words; case comments: 1500–3000 words; long articles: 5000–10,000 words; and short articles: 3000–5000 words. - Co-authorship is allowed for up to three authors.
- Every manuscript that is submitted ought to be unique and unpublished.
- Both content and concept plagiarism would result in the manuscript being rejected outright.
- Nowhere in the manuscript's body will the authors reveal who they are.
- Manuscripts that do not significantly depart from the specified word restrictions may be considered for publication at the sole discretion of the CPS Executive Board.
Guidelines for Submissions
- An abstract that highlights the structure and main points of the paper must be included at the beginning of the submitted document, and it must be more than 300 words. The manuscript's word limit does not apply to the abstract.
- The title and subheadings will be styled in Times New Roman, bold, and with a case size of 12.
- The writing's body will be formatted in Times New Roman with a case size of 12.
- The line spacing for footnotes should be one, and the line spacing for the remainder of the manuscript should be 1.5.
- All footnoting and referencing must closely follow the guidelines established in the Oxford
Citing Legal Authorities: A University Standard (4th ed.). It is not permitted to use substantive footnotes.

Submissions must be completed on the provided form and submitted exclusively in Microsoft Word Format (.docx or.doc files). The deadline for submitting soft copies is December 10, 2024.
